Quality Start Logo - 3 Color -websiteQuality Start, a voluntary child care rating system created by the Louisiana Department of Social Services, has recently launched their website, www.qrslouisiana.com. The site is designed to be a resource for child care providers and their staff as well as for parents looking for the best child care providers available.

Quality Start is a voluntary program for licensed child care centers, designed to recognize, support and increase the quality of child care throughout Louisiana. Participating centers can earn up to five stars. Quality Start also offers training and incentives to child care providers to help increase their rating. Important new quarterly bonuses and tax credits are also available to parents who choose a Quality Start center. By joining Quality Start, centers will show parents in their communities their commitment to providing the highest quality child care.

tflKeating Magee received a Bronze Quill Award of Excellence in the Electronic and Digital Communications Category from the New Orleans chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.

The award recognized the firm’s work in developing the “Let’s Be Totally Clear” Microsite for The Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco-Free Living. Earlier this year, the microsite was awarded “Best In Show” and a Gold Award at the Advertising Club of New Orleans’ Annual ADDY Awards Competition.

Designed to recognize and honor statewide creative excellence in business communications, the Bronze Quill Awards are presented annually by IABC-New Orleans. Bronze Quill nominations are open to both IABC members and non-members, and entries are judged by IABC-member panels from other chapters throughout the United States. Scoring is based on a seven-point scale, and awards are presented at two levels: awards of excellence and awards of merit.

140Windsor Court Hotel revealed their list of 140 New Orleans Characters. A New Orleans Character is someone that reflects the unique traits and spirit of the city and the selected 140 “Characters” will be invited to a special reception at The Windsor Court. From these 140, the top seven will be selected to become a Windsor Court Ambassador and will appear in an upcoming ad campaign for The Grill Room. The top seven will also receive the Keys to the Court, the ultimate VIP experience at the Windsor Court.

“As a locally-owned hotel, the Windsor Court is now more a part of New Orleans than ever before. We couldn’t be the Windsor Court if we weren’t in New Orleans, and New Orleans wouldn’t be itself without all of the wonderful inidividuals that give the city color,” explains General Manager David Teich.
