Trumpeter Irvin Mayfield announced that he is partnering with the JW Marriott Hotel to develop and open the Irvin Mayfield I Club.

Expected to open up in July 2011, the I Club will be an intimate club inside the JW Marriott Hotel. The I Club will be Mayfield’s second club after Irvin Mayfield’s Jazz Playhouse. The I Club will offer New Orleans music in a luxurious downtown setting. The venue will offer exquisite cocktails and fine-dining small plates prepared by JW Marriott’s executive chef, Lou Sander.
